Work In Progress

Showing some progress photos of past work and anything I may have on the go.

2011

Labrador Puppy - detailed graphite pencil.
I've finished this piece at last! Really pleased with it. I did struggle with the grass, as it's the first time I've drawn it in detail, but was worth it. I've posted this in both the Gundog and Pencil Galleries under the puppy's name 'Walter', with an additional close-up photo. Now available as a Limited Edition Print.

2010

Reuben
Portrait of a German Shephard cross called Reuben - you may have seen him and his funny antics on the BBC TV programme "Monty Halls' Great Escape" and the recent series ""Monty Halls' Great Hebridean Escape" . I auctioned this for charity
(see my Charity Auctions page) and Monty Halls signed the portrait on the back for the winning bidder, as well as getting a paw print from Reubs!

Bramblesville - Cartoon
Brief, as follows, included three horses and four Labradors in a stables setting:

Horses:
Stella: Very old and lives to eat. Very fluffy. Always dirty, in fact looks as if she is wearing wellies most of the time. Grey, but looks darker due to always rolling in the mud. Nothing and i mean nothing, stops her eating her haylage.
Lady, mum to Akira: Very, very elegant and very beautiful. Very flirty and carries her tail very high. Almost 'black coffee' in colour. Would be a 'Super Model' if a human.
Akira, baby: Is the same colour as mum. Always point his toes, so his front leading leg is always straight and pointing and his opposite leg out, pointing almost like a ballerina. Long eyelashes, arched neck, tail up, almost vertically,  pointy toes and springing up like a dancer? Looking a wee bit arrogant.

Dogs:
Milo: Yellow girl,  would be the ideal candidate for bum sticking out of the manure pile
Hattie: Black loves it too but sits ON it, usually at the top looking at you with a mouth of poo, cheeks bulging and looking all guilty.
Aggi: Usually off chasing rabbits, black and very fast.
Georgie: The biggest and black again, watches over them all, looking embarrassed as to their behaviour.
